Pursuit of Happiness

Crush a bit, little bit, roll it up, take a hit
Feelin' lit, feelin' light, 2 A. M., summer night.
I don't care, hand on the wheel,
Drivin' drunk, I'm doin' my thing
Rollin in the Midwest side and out,
Livin' my life, getting' out dreams
People told me slow my roll,
I'm screaming out, fuck that
Imma do just what I want,
Lookin' ahead no turnin' back
If I fall, If I die,
Know I lived it to the fullest,
If I fall, if I die,
Know I lived and missed some bullets

Chorus:
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold
I'll be fine, once I get it, I'll be goooood.
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold
I'll be fine, once I get it, I'll be goooood.

Tell me what you know about dreamin' (dreamin')
You don't really know about nothin' (nothin')
Tell me what you know about them night terrors, every night
5 A. M, cold sweats wakin' up, to the sky
Tell me what you know about dreams, dreams
Tell me what you know about night terrors, nothin'
You don't really care about the trials of tomorrow
Rather lay awake in a bed full of sorrow

Chorus:
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,
Everything that shines ain't always gonna be gold
I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be goooood.

I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,
Everything that shines ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good

I'm on the pursuit of happiness
And I know everything that shines ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah
I'll be good

Pursuit of happiness, yeah.
I don't get it, I'll be good

Ugh.
Ah, man,
Ugh, ayite, ugh
Room's spinnin'. Room's spinnin'.
Matt... Zulie... Wait.
Oh my god why did I drink so much and slug so much?, ah
Ugh, fuck.

ERIK & Brees Wedding- Visit to California

Being on Maui is fun. Visiting California is fun also! Especially for a wedding. First wedding of the year was Curtis cousins Erik and Bree's wedding on February 13, 2016. I spent a lot of my time with the bride, who seriously was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. Also I spent time with my family, although there is NEVER enough time. Here's some pics from that trip, didn't capture everything because I was busy having fun.

Shelby and Robbie's Lanai Wedding 2016

If you ever have the time and opportunity to visit Lanai, Maui county, you should do it! It costs $30/direction to take the ferry from Lahaina, Maui to Lanai. For $10/direction, Issac will drive you in the shuttle from the harbor to Lanai city. He'll tell you that Blue Ginger is a really good place to catch a meal; no one ever complains. What he may not tell you is that Blue Ginger makes home baked pastries this at will melt your mouth and fill your belly! I tried a breakfast sandwich that was divine. The town is little, cute and everyone is so friendly. Back to the harbor area is the Four Seasons, which is waaaay too rich for my blood, although if you're not staying there they'll still let you catch a drink at their bar for $12-15 or so. More likely visitors will be camping at the beach, like we did. Lanai residents can camp right on the beach, visitors from anywhere else camp on the grass right behind the beach and are welcome to swim in the ocean.

We arrived the day before and stayed in Lanai city with our friend Christina. Right when I got there I rode with Issac to Lanai City. After getting my welcome to Lanai shoot of tequila, I was swept away to another house to my first Passover dinner. It was amazing. I posted below a pic of tsimmis, which means ENOUGH, I think. I don't remember everything because Passover dinner involves a lot of wine. We went back to Christinas house and got ready for the wedding.

On Saturday, I woke up before everyone else and took a walk around town. It was quiet and cozy. Everyone that passed by me waived our threw up a Shaka. We packed the pickup and made our way to the beach. We quickly unloaded and began to shuttle people off the am ferry to the beach. DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL ON THE BEACH. LOCALS WILL CALL THE POLICE AND LOSE THE ALOHA SPIRIT!!! They really don't want riffraff there.

At about 5pm, my husband married our friends on the beach. Robbie and Shelby had a beautiful wedding and we bbq'd after. The following morning we woke up and swam with dolphins.

Lanai is magic. Practice pono, respect for the land and its people. Enjoy the water, beach and be thankful for aina and mana.
